Anyone who has freelanced in Portugal knows the problem: the big platforms are international, built in English, and force us to compete at prices set by markets with nothing to do with our reality. Portuguese talent is excellent — but it is playing on a field that was not made for it.

That is why we created TugaFreela: the first freelance marketplace built from the ground up for Portugal and for those who work in Portuguese. A place where a designer in Porto, a developer in Lisbon or a content creator in the diaspora can offer their services in their own language, to clients who speak that same language, with payments handled securely by the platform.

How it works is simple: freelancers create services with clear packages and prices; clients hire directly or post a project and receive proposals. Every payment generates a receipt, and everything — from the proposal to support — happens in Portuguese. From artificial intelligence and programming to design, marketing and video, the goal is the same: to give national talent a place where it is the rule, not the exception.

TugaFreela is not just a directory of services. It is a digital infrastructure designed to reduce friction, build trust and let both sides focus on what truly matters: the work and the result.
